san antonio rodeo kid fun
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is always one of the best things to do with kids and toddlers, and we have your guide to the events your kids are sure to love.
Check out our Best Kid-Friendly Guide to the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo to saddle up for a full 18 days of action-packed family fun.
From February 6-23, you can bring your kiddos out to the grounds to experience all kinds of educational, fun and interactive activities. Plus, the rodeo action and entertainment are perfect for the entire family.
Before you see the Rodeo and concert, here are some activities your kids will be begging you to do:
Want to see what it’s like to be surrounded by hundreds of butterflies? Head on over to the Texas Wildlife Expo for a number of interactive and educational exhibits where kids can learn about local wildlife in the state.
Your kids will be oohing and awing over Animal Adventures! Different from your usual petting zoo in many ways, there are hatching baby chicks, piglets and even more livestock animals.
Who doesn’t want to taste a handspun milkshake? Head on over to the Dairy Center to grab one of the best vanilla or chocolate milkshakes all while learning about the aspects of milk production, dairy products and their roles in the agriculture industry. Cow milking presentations are also made daily!
With animals in mind, your kiddos will be begging you to “show me the horses!” Take your kids to Horse Discovery to learn about the different breeds and many ways that horses are used.
Of course, you can’t forget about Mutton Bustin’! 1400 contestants will get a chance to compete in good old fashioned Mutton Bustin’ during the 2020 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Kids ages 4-7 who weigh under 55 pounds are able to participate. You can learn more about that here.
With so much to see and do at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo there’s no way you can experience everything in one day. With our Season Grounds Pass, you can visit the grounds all 18 days for only $20! For even more events and activities, visit SARodeo.com or plan your schedule on the SA Rodeo app.
