Although it might be a while until we get to see live music again, many music lovers are turning to virtual concerts to get their fix.
While the coronavirus pandemic had canceled the original 150 shows that were to appear this summer, Tanglewood is taking their concerts online.
The 2020 Tanglewood Virtual Summer Concert series has been announced on their website here.
“…With the health of the greater Tanglewood community as our highest priority, performances with audiences are not possible,” Mark Volpe, the BSO’s president and CEO stated.
The virtual festival will include music from artists of all genres, including the renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
Additionally, the online festival will include conversations with artists and masterclasses. Prices for streams are between $5 to $12 for a single stream and $8 to $90 for multiple-stream packages. All purchases can be made on the website.
