Free Movies All Over DFWForget paying for overpriced movie-theater tickets – you and your family can see free movies almost any day of the week at various locales around DFW. Here’s the day-by-day listing for the Metroplex:

Monday
Keller Public Library – see a free family-friendly movie at 6 p.m. each Monday in June and July. Free popcorn included.
Burleson Library – free “cheesy movie” on second Mondays of the month, “where cracking wise and talking during the movie is encouraged.” For kids 12-18; at 5 p.m.

Tuesday
Keller Public Library – free movie on second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Free popcorn included.
North Richland Hills Library – free movie every Tuesday at 2 p.m. For titles, call library at 817-427-6818.
Burleson Library – free family movie every Tuesday in June and July for all ages; movies begin at 2 p.m.
Irving Library – free teen movie on 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at Central Library.
Irving Library – free family movies on 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at Central Library.
Haltom City Library – free family movies on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday
Flower Mound Library – free screening of Chicken Little on Wed., June 27 at 7 p.m.
Flower Mound Library – free screening of The Tale of Despereaux on Wed., July 25 at 7 p.m.

Thursday
Sundance Square – free movie every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. as part of “Stars Under the Stars” program. Bring blankets or chairs; folding chairs can be rented for $2 each. Movie takes place in the Gateway Parking Lot. No outside food or drink allowed.
Burleson Library – free teen movie every second and fourth Thursday in June and July; movies begin at 5 p.m.; ages 12-18.
Coppell Library – free family movie at 3 p.m. every Thursday. Call library at 972-304-3658 for specific titles.
UTA Free Summer Movie Series – UT Arlington presents a free outdoor movie every Thursday at 9 p.m. from June 7 to August 2 behind the Maverick Activities Center (500 W. Nedderman Dr.). Students, faculty/staff, alumni and community members are welcomed. Free admission, free popcorn, soft drinks and concessions for sale. Bring blanket or chair.
Grand Prairie Library – free kids’ movies on most Thursdays at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at various branches; check calendar before you head out.
Cedar Hill Library – free screening of Charlotte’s Web on Thursday, July 5  at 2 p.m.

Friday
Southlake Library – free Kids Movie Matinee every Friday at 2 p.m.
Hurst Library – free Family Movie Matinee every Friday in June/July at 3 p.m.
Movie in the Park in Euless – one-time event on Friday, July 27 at 8 p.m. Movie is The Mighty Ducks.
Azle Library – free films and popcorn at 4 p.m. on first Friday of each month.
Benbrook Library – free family movie every Friday at 2 p.m. Bring your own refreshments.

Saturday
Fort Worth Public Library – free movie on second Saturday of each month at 1 p.m. in the Central Library’s Youth Discovery Theatre. On July 14, featured movie is Holes and on Aug. 11, feature is Gnomeo and Juliet.
Movie in the Park in Euless – one-time event on Sat., June 23 at 8 p.m. Movie is Adventures of Tintin.
Movies in the Park in Weatherford – free movies at 9 p.m. at Holland Lake Ballfields in June. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Forest Hill Library – free movie at 1:30 p.m. each Saturday
