Bookworms and music lovers alike will like these upcoming free events sponsored by The Dallas Opera. On March 27 at 2 p.m., come to Caruth Auditorium on the SMU campus for “Melville, The Man,” a panel focusing on the life and works of author Herman Melville. On March 27 at 3:15 p.m., in the same place, you can attend “Melville, The Inspiration,” an event that features some of Melville’s words put to music. Cast members of the opera Moby-Dick will perform.
