Boston Pride Week Continues: Ending Sunday, June 15, 2014. Boston Pride week is underway and the Boston Pride Parade kicks off at 11am on Saturday.

Boston Dragon Boat Festival: June 14-15, 2014 along the Charles River. Every year 30-40 teams from the US and Canada compete over a 500-meter course in an energetic race.

Bunker Hill Day Parade: Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 12:30pm in Charlestown. A tradition since 1786, the parade commemorates the Battle of Bunker Hill. Free.

Quincy Flag Day Parade & Celebration: Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Quincy, MA. Pay tribute to old glory with the longest-running parade of its kind. Free.

Chelsea Art Walk: June 14-15, 2014 from 12-6pm in Chelsea, MA. Visit art galleries and alternative venues in Chelsea to check out local art!

BOKS Active Kids Day: Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 11-4pm at Reebok Headquarters in Canton, MA. Active Kids Day is a free event for the entire family with performances from Coco Jones, Lil Phunk, and much, much more. Free.

Harvard Museum of Natural History: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency.

National Get Outdoors Day: Saturday, June 14, 2014. Apparently it is National Get Outdoors Day, so make sure to get outside and have some (free) fun!

Downtown  Boston Holiday Market 2013: Last chance! Starting, November 30, 2013 through December 28, 2013 at Summer Street Plaza. Enjoy the 5th Annual Holiday Market with artisan vendors and local entertainment.

15th Annual WCRB Classical Cartoon Festival: November 9, 2013 at 10am at Symphony Hall. Faneuil Hall Street Performers Festival: October 12-14, 2013 at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Celebrate the world-famous street performers at Faneuil Hall for three days!

South Street Diner Pumpkin Carving Event: Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 2-4pm in the South Street Diner. The South Street Diner is hosting a fun day of pumpkin carving, apple cider, trick-or-treating, and more. Costumes encouraged.

Canstruction Boston: Starting Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 290 Congress Street. Canstruction is a non-profit organization that holds design competitions solely based from canned goods. All canned goods are donated to a food bank afterward. Free. (If you can’t make it, check out the pictures online, so cool!)

Ulta Cut-A-Thon: Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 11am-6pm at Ulta Salons. With a donation, get a free shampoo and haircut at Ulta Salons to help fight breast cancer. First come, first serve: walk-ins only.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Opening Our Doors Day: Monday, October 14, 2013 starting at 10am. On Monday Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is opening their doors for free timed admission starting at 10am.

Fall Open House at the MFA Monday, October 14, 2013. The MFA is free all day on Monday!

Honk! Festival of Activist Street Bands: October 11-13, 2013 in Davis Square. Check out the unique street music festival this weekend in the streets of Somerville. Free.

If you are not busy moving (or helping someone move) this weekend and are around looking for something to do, here are a few fun things to check out this weekend that’s pretty affordable for this extended Labor Day Weekend!

Ben & Jerry’s Fair Trade Music Festival: Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 2-7pm at the Prudential Center. The Ben & Jerry’s Fair Trade Music Festival is Featuring the Ryan Montbleau Band and free treats from Ben & Jerry’s too.

Boston Arts Festival: Saturday, August 31, 2013 and Sunday, September 1, 2013 from 12-8pm at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. Celebrate the Visual and Performing Arts this weekend at the Boston Arts Festival as well as enjoy a fireworks display at 9pm on Saturday night.

Institute of Contemporary Art Boston: Saturday, August 31, 2013. The ICA Boston is free the last Saturday of every month for families, which is this Saturday!

Frank Hatch Free Day at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum: Monday, September 2, 2013: Frank Hatch Day traditionally has been on New Year’s, but Labor Day is great weather wise to visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for free timed-entry so everyone can enjoy the museum and gardens!

29th Annual Gloucester Schooner Festival: Labor Day Weekend in Gloucester. If you live nearby or are looking for a fun thing to do outside the city, head north to Gloucester for this annual festival which includes Fireworks on Saturday night. Many events are free, but some are ticketed events.

Boston Adoption Party: Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 11-8pm at the Animal Rescue League of Boston in the South End. Looking to adopt a cat or dog? Adoption fees still apply, but there will be some discounts as well as free Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and more!

Saint Anthony’s Feast: August 23-25, 2013 in the North End (Endicott, Thacher & North Streets). Voted by Boston’s A-List as the Best Festival in the Boston area for 2013 and is an annual celebration in the North End. Free.

Harvard Square Think PINK Party: Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 2-4pm on Winthrop Street in Cambridge. The Harvard Square Business Association is raising Breast Care Awareness on Saturday with live music, delicious food, and more. There are also several businesses that will donate a portion of sales to the cause when you purchase certain pink items and more.

Free Folk Dancing: Saturday, August 24, 2013  from 8-10pm at the Holyoke Center in Cambridge. Get moving to the music with free basic instruction on Saturday night.

106.7 Family Film Festival

Magic 106.7 Family Film Festival: Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Prudential Center South Garden at sunset. Enjoy a free showing of Hoodwinked on the South Garden at the Prudential Center at sunset. (Last one of the summer!)

MLB Free Umpire Camp: Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Roberto Clemente Field in Boston. Major League Baseball is hosting a free umpire camp and serve as a tryout for interested participants to advance to the annual weeklong umpire camp in California.

East Boston Biking Connections: Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 4-6pm starting at Bremen Street Park. If your wondering where East Boston Greenway is heading next, join BNAN for a bike ride that ends at Piers Park. Helmets required.

The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series at the ICA is back again this year on Sunday, 8/25/13 at 1pm; however, for the first time this is a (free) ticketed event and tickets did sell out quickly. However, I’m sure you can walk slowly nearby to catch a few dives or maybe catch a few practice dives the day before. (Good tips on this Reddit Thread).

Also, on Sunday, 8/25/13 is Go Topless Day in Boston starting at 2pm at Boston Common… just a FYI.

And don’t forget… Boston Restaurant Week is currently in full-swing and ends towards the end of the week on Friday, August 3oth! Hope you have a great weekend!
