Even in the off-season, the New England Patriots continue to impress us. Governor, Charlie Baker, announced that the Kraft Family sent the New England Patriots team plane to China to retrieve more than one million N95 respirator masks. The masks will be used by healthcare workers to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
Both Governor Baker and Robert Kraft, New England Patriots owner, negotiated the deal for the masks together. Both Baker and Kraft and will be there in person when the plane allegedly lands Thursday afternoon. When the plane lands, the masks will be sent to a stockpile by the National Guard.
Teamwork truly makes the dream work in this case. It’s been reported that Governor Baker has tried to get masks for Massachusetts, unfortunately, to be outbid by the government and other foreign countries.
According to Mark Maske of Washington Post Robert Kraft stated, “It is an honor for our family to be a part of this humanitarian mission…It’s nice to care for those who provide such compassionate care for us.”
In addition to sending the team’s plane, Robert Kraft has also donated more than $100,000 in products to homeless shelters and food pantries.
