1. New Year’s Eve On The Waterfront 2022 – Ice Sculpture Stroll.

The Ice Sculpture Stroll on the Waterfront is returning! Prepare to count down to 2022 with more than two dozen ice sculptures presented by companies and cultural institutions along the waterfront, making this the biggest Waterfront Ice Sculpture Stroll in history. Along the route, take in some more waterfront sights and activities, such as There are also Holiday Lights on the Trellis at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, Virtual Scavenger Hunts in Charlestown, East Boston, and Downtown, Snowport, Seaport’s new Winter Village, and more at #BundleUpBoston.

When: On the 31st of December from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

2. New Year’s Eve Family Lane Parties.

Come to Wamesit Lanes to ring in the new year.  The New Year’s Eve Lane Parties last two hours and can accommodate up to six people per lane. 2 hours of bowling for up to 6 people, shoe rental, pizza bar access, soft drinks, party favors, kids toast, and a 30-minute non-redeemable arcade card are all included in the party.

When: On the 31st of December with various timings available.

3. First Night Boston 2022.

Boston’s First Night has been a New Year’s Eve celebration of creative performances, seasonal delights, and the start of a new year since 1975. The First Night celebration will begin in 2022 with a variety of acts, in line with this magnificent Boston tradition. There will be family fireworks on Boston Common and pyrotechnics spectacular on Copley Square at midnight, after a day of music and entertainment around the city, including puppet plays at the library.

Boston’s First Night returns with a variety of events held at different locations with different timings. The whole schedule can be seen on the website.

4. Greater Boston Celebration of Lights

This Holiday season, Greater Boston will be home to the newest holiday drive-thru experience. A spectacular display of over 1 million LED lights and animatronic scenes will cover almost a mile of Waltham roads. The Festive event is intended to provide attendees with a safe and enjoyable holiday experience from the comfort of their own car. The vehicle’s FM radio system will play music.

How much: The tickets range from $21.99 – $50.00.

5. New Year’s Clay Folklore Doll Workshop

Create and decorate clay “folklore-styled” dolls in the concept of your favorite New Year’s or winter fun activities using ceramic color. The items will be fired and prepared to use as a festive winter decoration. This holiday outdoor session will be accompanied by hot chocolate and cider.

When: On the 31st of December from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
