Are you nervous about riding the T? The MBTA is working on a new tool that might be able to help ease some anxiety about over-crowding.
The tool is currently available for a handful of bus routes and is able to show riders how crowded (or not) certain locations are.
To find out on the app, click “Schedules” and select the bus route’s location. The three adjectives to describe the buses are “crowded” “not crowded” and “some crowding.”
With the MBTA ramping up services and more people are commuting again, real-time crowding info will help determine whether to hop on, or wait for a less-crowded bus.
Currently, real-time information is available for the following bus routes: 1, 15, 16, 22, 23, 31, 32, 109 and 110.
