Do you have trouble saying no? Well, it could be costing your wallet.

Do you want to go out for a drink after work? Do you want to meet up at (insert expensive, but awesome restaurant here) for dinner? Do you want to pitch in for so-and-so’s birthday gift?

No. No. No.

You can do it.

Also, learn when to say yes and no. Obviously you still want to be social and have friends, but find a middle ground if you are constantly going out and spending a lot of money.

Learning to say no is an important way to save money. However, it doesn’t have to come across awkward or… cheap.

You can still go out and have fun without spending a lot of money. Suggest a restaurant with a happy hour deal or coupon or have friends over for a dinner party. Drink at home before going out. Rent a Redbox movie and stay in.

There’s a lot of fun and budget-friendly things to do without spending a lot of money. Figure out when the best time to say yes and say no to help spread your money further. Don’t let FOMO stop you from completing your financial goals. Learn to say no.
