*Money Making Money is a Boston on Budget ongoing series during the holiday season to give simple ways to make money online and more. None of the suggestions will make you rich but hopefully cover a holiday gift or two. All suggestions are personally used and recommended by me.
Thanks for reading the last Money Making Monday of the Holiday season! Hope you got a few great ideas of ways to expand your holiday budget!
My last suggestion is a very broad money making suggestion: sell your stuff. There’s so many ways you can tackle this suggestion and it really depends on what you have and what you are comfortable with. I personally haven’t sold too much stuff, just because I don’t have too much good stuff.
For me, I’ve had good luck selling back my grad school textbooks. My school bookstore didn’t take them (or value them high) so I decided to use the Amazon buyback program. I basically loaded the information on Amazon, printed out a free shipping label, and sent them in! I received an Amazon gift card in my account and put it towards Christmas presents. Easy peasy.
If you are a college student looking to sell back textbooks through Amazon, my big tip is to list your textbooks sooner than later. Textbooks lose value very quickly and Amazon prices reflect that. I missed my shipping deadline by one day and had to relist my textbooks, and lost roughly $30! List those textbooks TODAY!
Do you have any tips for selling textbooks or stuff online? Do you steer clear from posting on Craigslist?
