Smithsonian Magazine is sponsoring a Free Museum Day on Saturday, September 24, 2016 where you can receive free admission for two people to a participating museum. Luckily, there’s hundreds of museums to choose including eight directly in Boston as well as many others in close proximity!
You do need a ticket in order to participate in Smithsonian Magazine’s Free Museum Day, and you can head here to request a free pass. The pass is only good for the museum you choose, so choose wisely as you can’t switch it!
There is a limit to two people (one ticket) per household and the free admission does not include special exhibits, parking, or other fees. You must present an official Museum Day Live! ticket to receive free admission. Some museums will accept them from your smart phone so don’t worry if you forget your passes.
