Transportation smartphone app Uber is giving a free $30 credit to new users when you sign up through a referral code. If you are not familiar with this app, Uber essentially connects you with a driver and you can pay right on your phone too. Uber has a few different transportation options but UberX is the least expensive option in Boston.
If you haven’t tried Uber yet, new users can receive a $30 credit when signing up through a referral code (like mine).
As a sidebar for current users, does anyone have any tips for battery life? I had to uninstall Uber because it was absolutely killing my battery on my new(ish) phone. Anyone else?
Even better, anyone can use promo code 10r62014 to receive a free $10 credit. As an existing user, I entered it on 7/7/14 and received the free $10 credit but I do need to use it within 3 days or so before it expires.
