Cheap Weekend Events in Boston

Chinese New Year Lion Dance Parade: Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Chinatown from 10am to 5pm. Celebrate Chinese New Year with lion dancers, food, music and more in Chinatown!

Quincy Lunar New Year Festival: Sunday, March 1, 2015 at North Quincy High School from 10:30am-4pm. Celebrate the year of the Goat with this Lunar New Year Celebration with over 300 performers. Free and free parking in the MBTA North Quincy lot.

Longfellow Birthday Celebration: Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge at 10am. Celebrate the birthday of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow with a short program, birthday cake, and more.

ICA: The ICA is free for families (with children under 12) the last Saturday of every month, except December.

Harvard Art Museums: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Saturday morning from 10am to Noon year-round with proof of residency

Harvard Museum of Natural History: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency.

Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency

Free Women’s Self Defense Class: Every Saturday from 10-11am in Charlestown. Krav Maga Yashir Boston provides free self-defense training to women living in Massachusetts on Saturday mornings.

Also, Dine Out Boston begins this Sunday, March 1, 2015 with many Boston restaurants participating with prix fixe menus and prices.
