Cheap Weekend Fun

There’s so many free and almost free events happening in and around Boston this weekend, it was hard to keep up with them all! Here’s a few fun things to check out this weekend:

Craftboston Holiday Show: December 6-8, 2013 at Hynes Convention Center. Over 200 exhibitors will be present to offer great presents this holiday season. General Admission is $15, but half-off tickets are available through Goldstar Boston (affiliate link).

Holiday Arts & Eats at Assembly Row: December 6-8, 2013 at Assembly Row in Somerville. Check out this local holiday market with food truck, Etsy designers, musicians, and more!  Adult tickets range from $5-$15, but enter to win two free VIP Tickets, giveaway ends on 12/5/13 at 3pm.

The Davis Flea Holiday Vintage Market: December 8 & 15, 2013 from 11am-6pm at the Arts at the Armory in Somerville. Find some unique and great events at the Davis Flea Holiday Market for two dates this holiday season.

Union Square Winter Craft Markets: Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 11am-4pm at Union Square Plaza in Somerville. Find some handmade holiday gifts for everyone on your holiday list!

Brooklyn Boulders Holiday Market: Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 11am-4pm in Somerville. Many artisans and craft vendors will be at Brooklyn Boulders on Somerville on Saturday, and kids can climb for free. Free, but just sign a waiver to get in (This is a rock climbing place).

Running Strong: Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 9:00am at 654 Beacon Street in Kenmore Square. Join Ultimate Bootcamp and Joint Ventures for a free running workshop and workout.

Velo-City Cycling Workout: Free classes until Sunday, December 8, 2013. Now until Sunday, check out Velo-City in the Back Bay for a free class!

Polar Express Story Hour and Kids Concert: Saturday, December 7 & 14, 2013 from 11am-2pm at the Prudential Center Food Court. Enjoy a story hour of the favorite holiday story The Polar Express followed by a kids concert!

2013 North End Christmas Parade: Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 1pm. See Santa Claus arrive by helicopter to the North End Park on Commercial Street.

Bank of America’s Museum on Us Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, December 7-8, 2013. Bank of America & Merrill Lynch cardholders can get into select museums the first weekend of every month for free by showing their bank card (per cardholder, not family). Museum of Fine Arts, MIT Museum and other museums across the state participate.

Kid Price Saturday at Franklin Zoo: Saturday, December 7, 2013. Pay and feel like a kid the first Saturday of every month at Franklin Park Zoo between 10 a.m. & noon for just $11. Head to Stoneham, MA to the Stone Zoo between 10am-12pm and pay $10 for admission

Downtown  Boston Holiday Market 2013: Starting, November 30, 2013 through December 28, 2013 at Summer Street Plaza. Enjoy the 5th Annual Holiday Market with artisan vendors and local entertainment.

Enchanted Village: November 16, 2013-January 5, 2013 at Jordan’s Furniture in Avon. The Enchanted Village is up and running for the season so come relive childhood memories! Free.

Also, don’t forget there’s free 2-hour meter parking in Boston every Saturday in December!
