bright nights at forest park

One of the top holiday light shows is back for its 25th year, and this year’s Bright Nights at Forest Park promises to be the best one yet. If you’re looking for a place to see Christmas lights with family and friends, this attraction is worth the nearly two-hour drive from Boston!

About Bright Nights at Forest Park

Bright Nights at Forest Park lets you drive through a 3-mile path decoreated with beautiful lights and special holiday scenes. There’s everything from traditional holiday sights like giant poinsettia candles and Letters to Santa to unique displays, including a triceratops!

When you’re driving through Bright Nights, tune your radio to 100.7 FM for musical accompaniment of holiday classics and newer tunes, all hosted by DJ Santa Claus.

Throughout the season, Bright Nights host some special events and activities, including Supper with Santa (12/8, 12/15), Military & First Responders Free Admission Night (12/4), Craft Nights (12/25-1/5), Zoo in Forest Park Open House (12/11), and Photos with Santa (nightly through 12/24). Make sure to stop your car for a visit at Santa’s Magical Forest where there are other activities, like a Winter Carousel, food stands, hot chocolate, and more. Note that many of these activities do cost extra.

Once you’ve finished up at Bright Nights, there’s more holiday fun nearby in downtown Springfield where many buildings are all decked out in holiday lights!
