I can’t believe it is the last weekend of November! I am sending the Cheap Weekend Fun post a day earlier since I’m sure you all have better things to do tomorrow!

Here’s some fun things to do this weekend in Boston for the last weekend of November!

29th Annual Boston Tuba Christmas Concert: Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 2-5pm. Come check out over 150 tuba players wow the crowd with holiday classics! Free.

Small Business Saturday: Saturday, November 29, 2014. Get out and support your favorite local business with Small Business Saturday! AMEX Cardholders can also receive a free $10 statement credit with registration (this may be limited).

Blink: November 22, 2014 to January 4, 2014 at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Enjoy a light and sound extravaganza with music of the Holiday Pops.

Jordan’s Enchanted Village Begins: November 15, 2014 from January 5, 2015. The Enchanted Village is up and running for the season so come relive childhood memories! Free.

Cultural Survival Bazaar: November 28-30, 2014 from 10-6pm in Cambridge. Shop direct from artisans and free trade vendors and more. Free admission and parking.

Harvard Museum of Natural History: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency.

Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency

ICA: Saturday, November 29, 2014. The ICA is free for families (with children under 12) the last Saturday of every month, except December.

MIT Museum: The last Sunday of every month September through June the MIT Museum is free!

There will also be FREE PARKING this weekend in Boston, so save those quarters! However, the time limit will be still be enforced on Friday, 11/28/14 and Saturday, 11/29/14 as well as additional Saturdays this holiday season.

Faneuil Hall Tree Lighting Spectacular: Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 8-9pm. Enjoy the first tree lighting of the holiday season in Boston with holiday events and the start of Blink!

Blink begins: November 22, 2014 to January 4, 2014 at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Enjoy a light and sound extravaganza with music of the Holiday Pops.

VIP Shopping Party: Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 9am to 11am at Microsoft Stores. Receive exclusive deals at Microsoft, a free breakfast and more on Saturday morning at local Microsoft stores with LivingSocial RSVP!

There’s a lot of fun and cheap things to do this weekend in Boston! (I’m sorry if you are not ready, but there are already holiday events listed, so just a warning!) Please let me know in the comments if I missed any fun and inexpensive Boston events this weekend!

Fenway Open Studios: November 15-16, 2014 from 11am to 5pm. Stop by Fenway Studios to meet and chat with local artists and more. Free, but please bring a canned good for the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Ski & Snowboard Expo: November 13-16, 2014 at the Seaport World Trade Center. Talk to ski and snowboard vendors, enjoy demos, and much more! Tickets are $15 (includes $10 Liftopia Gift Card and free magazine subscription), but you can request a $3 off coupon.

Free Pilates Class: Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 9am-10pm at Athleta Newbury. Enjoy a free Pilates class, but please bring your own mat.

Novemberfest 2014: Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 2-11pm in Somerville. Head to Aeronaut Brewing Company on Saturday for some non-stop jams and fun!

Veterans Cruise to George’s Island: Saturday, November 15, 2014. Veterans can enjoy a free cruise to George’s Island on Saturday and friends and family pay $5. Reservations strongly recommended.

Trace Adkins Holiday Show: Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 7pm at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston. If you love country music and the holidays, check out Trace Adkins at the Wilbur for a special holiday concert. Complimentary tickets (pay service fee) are available through Goldstar Boston (affiliate link).

Also, the Harvard Art Museums opens to the public on Sunday, November 16, 2014! The grand opening ceremony is at capacity, but you can still grab tickets for free admission for November 17-18, 2014!

Don’t forget to keep your eye out for the Lavazza Mobile Café because they are handing out free cups of Italian Coffee through Monday!

Thanks to the Brave: Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 12-4pm at the Prudential Center. Life is Good is hosting a military care package event and help assemble care packages for our troops overseas!

Open House at Boston Athenaeum: Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 12-4pm! Discover the Anthenaeum’s history during this free open house!

Free CrossFit at City Sports: Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 12pm in the Back Bay. Want to scope out a CrossFit class for free? Here’s an opportunity to do so this fall!

WCRB Classical Cartoon Festival: Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10am to 4pm at Boston Symphony Hall. Enjoy your favorite cartoon cartoons set to classical music on the big screen. $8 with discount tickets through Goldstar (affiliate link).

Bank of America’s Museum on Us Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, August 2-3 2014. Bank of America & Merrill Lynch cardholders can get into select museums the first weekend of every month for free by showing their bank card (per cardholder, not family). Museum of Fine Arts, MIT Museum and other museums across the state participate.

Kid Price Saturday at Franklin Zoo: Pay and feel like a kid the first Saturday of every month at Franklin Park Zoo between 10 a.m. & noon for just $11.95. Head to Stoneham, MA to the Stone Zoo between 10am-12pm and pay $6.95 for admission.

Cheap Weekend Fun in Boston for October 25-26, 2014!

Cheap Weekend Events in Boston

There is a lot of fun and inexpensive things to do this weekend in the Greater Boston area! There are also a lot of trick-or-treating and Halloween events at malls and more this weekend.

However, I decided to keep this week’s cheap weekend fun post Halloween free, but you can find all Halloween events in Boston in this post. Please let me know if I missed any of your favorite events this weekend in the comments below.

19th Annual Boston Vegetarian Food Festival: October 25-26, 2014 at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center. Enjoy educational exhibits, food samples, demos, and much more! Free and free parking.

Boston Book Festival: October 23-25, 2014 in Copley Square. Enjoy a festival that celebrates the culture of reading and ideas that enhance the city.

Free Cruise to Spectacle Island: Saturday, October 25, 2014 boarding at 9:30am. Enjoy a day at Spectacle Island. Free, but reservations are required.

Haunted Happenings in Salem: Fun events daily in Salem, MA. Salem has a lot of haunted happenings this October including a free movie night sponsored by Radio 92.9 every Saturday night. This week’s free movie night under the stars is Hocus Pocus.

Chocotoberfest at Taza Chocolate: Every Saturday in October from 1-4pm at Taza Chocolate in Somerville. Celebrate fall with a tasting of goodies! Free to attend.

Don’t forget you can also check out places to watch Patriots game and NFL games on a budget for ideas to cheer on the Pats this weekend if you won’t be at Gillette on Sunday.
