Welcome Home, Angie Miller: Saturday, May 4, 2013. American Idol contestant and Beverly native Angie Miller made it to the Top 3 on Idol which means Beverly will be celebrating her coming home! A parade for her will start at 3pm and a concert will begin at 4pm on the Beverly High School field.

Walk for Hunger: Sunday, May 5, 2013. Join the 20-mile Walk for Hunger around some of the prettiest spots in Boston to help fight hunger. Free, and whatever you pledge/donate.

SoWa Open Market Opening Day: Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 10-4pm at 460 Harrison Avenue in the South End. The SoWa Open Market celebrates its 10th year and kicks off this Sunday! Enjoy arts, crafts, farmers market, food trucks, and more.  Free, and whatever you buy.

Food Truck Throwdown: Boston vs New York: Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 11am-9pm at The Greenway. Need another reason to eat and love Food Trucks!? Join the Food Truck Throwdown on Saturday to see if New York can beat Boston’s Food Trucks. Free, and then whatever you consume/buy.

The 30th Annual Mayfair in Harvard Square: Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 12-6pm in the street of Harvard Square. Enjoy music, dancing, food, street art, beer gardens, and a variety of entertainment for all ages!

Jennifer Phelan Bootcamp: Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 9:15am at Faneuil Hall Upper Rotunda. Join bootcamp instructor Jennifer Phelan for a free Saturday morning workout. Free, but please bring your own mat.

Kid Price Saturday at Franklin Zoo: Saturday, May 4, 2013. Pay and feel like a kid the first Saturday of every month at Franklin Park Zoo between 10 a.m. & noon for just $11. Head to Stoneham, MA to the Stone Zoo between 10am-12pm and pay $10 for admission.

Bank of America’s Museum on Us Weekend: Saturday, May 4, 2013 & Sunday, May 5, 2013. Bank of America & Merrill Lynch cardholders can get into select museums the first weekend of every month for free by showing their bank card (per person, not family). Museum of Fine Arts, MIT Museum and other museums across the state participate.

Harvard Art Museum: Saturday, May 4, 2013. From 10am-12pm on Saturdays, Massachusetts residents can explore the museum for free with proper Mass ID.

Harvard Museum of Natural History and Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology: Sunday, May 5, 2013. Mass residents can visit the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology for free on Sundays from 9am-12pm with proof of residency.
