St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 1pm in South Boston. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the second largest parade in the United States. Free. (Or find another Massachusetts St. Patrick’s Day parade this weekend here).

“Shamrock” Your Body: Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 9-11am at BSC Wellesley and BSC Wellington. Enjoy a free workout with Irish music.

Free Guitar Lessons at Guitar Center: Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:15am at your local Guitar Center. Every Saturday during the month of March, receive a free Guitar lesson at your nearest Guitar Center.

Harvard Art Museum: Saturday, March 16, 2013. From 10am-12pm on Saturdays, Massachusetts residents can explore the museum for free with proper Mass ID.

Harvard Museum of Natural History and Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology: Sunday, March 17, 2013. Mass residents can visit the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology for free on Sundays from 9am-12pm with proof of residency.

City Sports 30th Grand Opening: Saturday, March 16, 2013 starting at 10am at City Sports Chestnut Hill. City Sports is celebrating their 30th Anniversary at the Grand Opening of their newest location at Chestnut Hill with  former Patriot Matt Light, free Pinkberry Treats, giveaways, and more! Be one of the first 100 through the door for a bag filled of goodies and a City Sports Tee.

Some Like It Hot Chili Cook-Off: Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 1pm to 2:30pm in Harvard Square. Enjoy the Annual Chili cookout with many local restaurants participating. Free to taste some delicious chili.

And another Chili cook-off on Sunday for free in Somerville, if you’d rather.

Can’t Keep ‘em Apart: A Beer & Chocolate Love Story 2013: Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 2-6pm at Taza Chocolate in Somerville. What could be better than a beer and chocolate pairing? $5 donation for the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Bank of America’s Museum on Us Weekend: Saturday, February 2, 2013 & Sunday, February 3, 2013. I hope you all are staying warm this week! I tried to stick to the warm and cheap events this weekend as best of possible for January 26-27, 2013 in Boston & beyond. Here’s some ideas of cheap and fun things to do:

Institute of Contemporary Art: Saturday, January 26, 2013. The last Saturday of every month, the ICA is free for families (up to two adults accompanied by children 12 and under).

1369 Coffee House 20th Anniversary Celebration: Saturday, 26, 2013 from 8-5pm. In honor of their 20th Anniversary, 1369 Coffee House will be giving free food all day with music and fun at both locations. Donations to charity are appreciated. For more information, please visit here.

Red Sox Kids Nation Winterfest: Saturday 26, 2013 from 10-4pm at Fenway Park. Join a video game tournament, meet Wally the green monster, play carnival games, and even audition to sing the national anthem or be the next announcer at Fenway Park. Free.

Weekend Fun for Martin Luther King Weekend: January 19, 20 & 21, 2013

Okay, here’s a round-up of all the fun events happening in Boston and Beyond for cheap or free this weelend. Since it is Martin Luther King Weekend, I also included a lot of free and fun events happening on Monday too. Enjoy!

Celebrate Poe’s 204th Birthday: Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 3-4:30pm at the Central Library at Copley Square. Join the Edgar Allan Poe Foundation to celebrate the famous Author’s 204th birthday with readings from his work, and more. Free.

Make Some Noise to Save a Life at House of Blues: Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 7-11pm. Make some noise to raise awareness and funds for Samaritans, a local suicide prevention and support organization with music performer, Joe Bermudez. There will also be plenty of TV screens on the Pats game too. 18+. Free.

Day of Service to Celebrate MLK: Monday, January 21, 2013. Have the day off? Consider heading to Cambridge to give back to the community. Free, but please bring a can of food, a children’s book, or gently worn clothing item to donate.

Free Entrance Day to a National Park: Monday, January 21, 2013. Visit one of the 398 National Parks in the country (and 15 in Massachusetts) for FREE!

Visit the Museum of Fine Arts: Monday, January 21, 2013. The MFA offers free admission on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The inauguration will also be live, streaming coverage with other special events happening as well.

A Day of Service & Celebration in Honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: Monday, January 21, 2013 at 1pm at Faneuil Hall. Mayor Tom Menino and Target in partnership with the Museum of African American History and the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras present the 11th Annual service and celebration. Free.

And of course, the first Bruins hockey game is on Saturday, and the AFC Championship game in on Sunday, so a good weekend to relax and watch some sports :)

If you are motivated to stick to your New Year’s resolution, stop by Boston Common at 6am for some free bootcamp with Ultimate Bootcamp. (Event is also offered at Cambridge YMCA & FSU Athletic Center). Free but pre-registration is required.

We Are The In Crowd Concert at Gillette Stadium: Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:45pm. Before the Pats/Texan game at Gillette, there will be a free concert by We Are The In Crowd at 2:45pm at the NRG Plaza (North End of the Stadium, near CBS Scene). Free and open to the public.

Free Flu Clinics:  Ongoing, but a lot of Free Flu Clinics on Saturday, January 12, 2013. Due to the flu outbreak, please think about getting a free flu shot this weekend, as there will be a lot of different free flu clinics this weekend especially.

Cranmore Mountain Lift Tickets just $9 on Friday, January 4, 2013 for Ticket Roll Back Day!

Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, New Hampshire is offering a great ski deal this Friday, January 4th, 2013! Each year Cramore Mt rolls back ticket prices, and this year lift tickets on Friday will be just $9.00 for all ages!

I went a few years ago on their roll back day and I was so exicted when I paid just a few bucks to ski! I can’t remember how busy it was or anything like that, just that I had so much fun skiing for very little money!

For those who don’t have to work on 1/4/13 and will be skiing or snowboarding for just $9, have a great time!! I’m very jealous that I was only able to go once so far! For more information, please visit their website here.

239th Anniversary Boston Tea Party Annual Reenactment: Sunday, December 16, 2012 starting at 5pm at Old South Meeting House and New Boston Tea Party & Museum. Reenact the Famous Boston Tea party just like 1773, which sparked the American Revolution. Some events are free and open to the public, and some are ticketed.

Holiday on Ice: Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 11am-9pm at the Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rank. Free admission to the ice skating rink starts at 11am, with an ice skating show at 2pm by Frozen Frog Productions, LLC. Free.
