Okay, I seriously slacked with the weekend round-up for the last two weekends (sorry!) but I’m back and ready to roll out the best weekend events again to help you stay on budget!

Boston Weekend Events for 12/15/12-12/16 on a Budget

Bazaar Bizarre Boston: Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 12-6pm at Boston Center of the Arts Cyclorama. Find unique and local handmade gifts to give this holiday season! $1 admission, or free between 5-6pm.

2nd Annual Cookie Swap: Sunday. December 16, 2012 from 2-5pm at 281 Summer Street, Boston, MA. Come together with other home bakers to swap cookies and help raise money for a good cause. Free if you bake 4 dozen cookies or more.

239th Anniversary Boston Tea Party Annual Reenactment: Sunday, December 16, 2012 starting at 5pm at Old South Meeting House and New Boston Tea Party & Museum. Reenact the Famous Boston Tea party just like 1773, which sparked the American Revolution. Some events are free and open to the public, and some are ticketed.

Holiday on Ice: Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 11am-9pm at the Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rank. Free admission to the ice skating rink starts at 11am, with an ice skating show at 2pm by Frozen Frog Productions, LLC. Free.

Charles Hotel Ice Skating Rink Opening: Sunday, December 16, 2012 from noon to 6pm at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge. Enjoy complimentary ice skating and rentals, a visit from Globe Santa, a kids activities room, performances from the Harvard Figuring Skating Club, Hot Cocoa from the Charles Hotel, and more. Free.

The Nutcracker by Northeastern Ballet Theatre: Saturday, December 15, 2012 starting at 1pm at Quincy Marketplace Upper Rotunda. Enjoy a performance of the classic “The Nutcracker” by New Hampshire’s premier ballet company. Free.

Panera Bread Christmas Tree Cookie Decorating for Kids: Saturday, December 15, 2012 & Sunday, December 16, 2012 (exact date and times vary by store). 10 cents of every Christmas Tree cookie sold will be donated to Boston Children’s Hospital. Free, and whatever you buy.

Holiday Dollar Day Boston: Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 10-6pm at More Than Words Warehouse Bookstore. All books, CD’s, DVD’s are just a buck with Holiday movies on for the kiddos, and more. $1 to enter and $1 for purchases.
