Royalty Inn “No Brainer” Ski and Stay Packages!

I love to travel and ski, but sometimes it can get a little expensive, so I was a little stunned and pleasantly surprised when I heard about this ski and stay package. The Royalty Inn in Gorham, New Hampshire offers “no brainer” deals, which include both lift tickets and lodging for a very low price!

My favorite package was the Wildcat Mountain & Attitash. Basically, buy a ski ticket from Royalty Inn for $59 per person Sunday-Thursday, and stay for free. This is a great deal, especially because if you went directly to Wildcat or Attitash ticket window, you would be paying $63 for a full-day ski ticket. So you are saving money on your ski pass and staying for free! Love it!

Here are all the details, participating mountains, and more. Keep in mind that there are blackout days for midweek rates, which are 12/24/12-1/2/13 and 2/18/13-2/27/13. However, if you are interested in these blackout dates, you just need to pay the Friday & Saturday rate!

Wildcat Mountain & Attitash Mountain “No Brainer” Package

  • $59.00/Adult Sunday-Thursday or $93/Adult Friday, Saturday
  • $46.00/Teen Sunday-Thursday or $65/Teen Friday, Saturday
  • $39.00/Junior Sunday-Thursday or $60 Friday, Saturday
  • Single Supplement $10 Midweek or $15 for Weekend

Sunday River “No Brainer” Package

  • $91.00/Adult Sunday-Thursday or $107/Adult Friday, Saturday
  • $64.00/Junior Sunday-Thursday or $80/Junior Friday, Saturday
  • Single Supplement $10 Midweek or $15 Weekend

Also, escape during the week to the Royalty Inn for a Midweek Gr8 Escape package! Bretton Woods, Jackson Ski Touring, Black Mountain, Cranmore, Bear Notch, Shawnee Peak, King Pine, and Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring are all participating in either Alpine or Nordic packages. The Midweek Gr8 Escape package includes deluxe lodging, one lift ticket, and one trail pass, rental and group lesson. Here’s the pricing for the package:

  • Single Room – $95/person for 1 night or $174/person for 2 nights
  • Double Room – $69/person for 1 night or $131/person for 2 nights
  • Triple Room – $62/person for 1 night or $117/person for 2 nights
  • Quad Room – $58/person for 1 night or $111/person for 2 nights
  • Quint Room – $55/person for 1 night or $106/person for 2 nights

Also, if  you stay at the hotel, you can receive a voucher for Great Glen Trails for Free Cross Country Skiing and Tubing!

I love all these deals and the Royalty Inn offers a little bit of everything for every winter lover! I did pull up the reviews on Trip Advisor and they were rated 4 stars out of 5 with 108 reviews and a variety of opinions.

I did a little map-questing too, and it looks like Wildcat Mountain is the closest to the hotel since they are both located in Gorham, NH!

Keep in mind these prices are per person, and do not include lodging and sales tax. You do need to call the hotel to book these ski specials, and cannot book online. When I called this afternoon, they seemed to have a lot of availability left, with some weeks busier than others. For more information about the Royalty Inn or these ski deals, please click here.

Please note that I am in no way affiliated with The Royalty Inn or any of the ski mountains mentioned. As an avid skier, traveler, and broke person, I just think this is a great deal! :)

Free Fireworks Cruise on Boston Harbor on New Year’s Eve!

Wow! If you want to catch the Boston Fireworks on New Year’s Eve this year from a different perspective, here is your opportunity! Thanks to the Boston Redevelopment Authority and Mass Bay Lines, The Boston Harbor Association will be offering a FREE Cruise on New 12/31/12 to see the fireworks this year from the Ha-bahh! This is an alcohol-free event, and hot chocolate will be available for purchase. Boarding begins at 11 p.m. from Rowes Wharf at Gate C and will last for the duration of the fireworks!

This free event is limited to the first 300 people, so you need to reserve your spot if you are interested. Last time I checked, there were still over 200 tickets available, but make sure you reserve soon!

Can’t believe NYE and 2013 will be here SOON!

LivingSocial 20% Promo Code + $25 Deal Bucks with V.Me Account

Are you a fan of the daily deal site!? If so, you may want to note that for a limited time you can use promo code PARENTS1 to save 20% site-wide!

There is also another deal available on LivingSocial, and I would say it’s one of those use at your own risk type of things, since there are a lot of restrictions and terms to follow. When you pay with your V.Me account at LivingSocial for the first time, you will receive $25 in LivingSocial deal bucks. V.Me is very similar to paypal, and although it is part of the Visa family, you can attach any credit card to your V.Me account. The LivingSocial/V.Me promo is been valid from 12/16/12 to 12/22/12, and people have had luck with it from what I’ve read, but I haven’t tried it personally yet.

The only reason why I’ve been hesitant is because their are a lot of blackouts (not valid on escapes, takeout, delivery, shops) and you receive the credit a few days after you make the purchase. Also, from what I’ve read and researched, it looks like you have 30 days or so to use your $25 deal bucks once it is your account. I personally do not use LivingSocial that much nor see too much intriguing daily deals at the moment. However, if you are going to make a purchase in the next few days anyways, why not give it a try? If I do decide to make a purchase, I will report back and let you know!

Please note that I am an affiliate with LivingSocial, if you have any questions, please read my disclosure policy here.

JetBlue Announces Service from Boston to Philly with $17.76 Flights this Spring!

JetBlue announced a revolutionary sale to commemorate their new service starting May 23, 2012 between Philadelphia and Boston Logan Airport! Purchase tickets by 12/14/12 for select dates between 5/28/13-6/19/13 for just $17.76 one way!

Although the promo states between 5/27/13-6/19/13, I found some $17 seats on other dates as well, so it worth checking out if your travel dates do not fit between those few weeks. The $17 seats are going quickly, so if you do have select dates in the summer, I’d recommend booking soon!

Also, if you need to head to Philly from Boston sooner than the spring, MegaBus is still giving away free seats with promo code TRYMEGABUS. Check out my article last week for more info!

Thanks, Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry!
