    Hi Kate!

There’s also a really amazing budget-friendly play on Halloween night, 8 pm, called “Nevermore: An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe” at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square.

Tickets are only $35 and admission also includes a classic horror movie starring Vincent Price, The Masque Of The Red Death, right after the play. The live performance stars Jeffrey Combs, famous from Star Trek TV shows, the 80s sci-fi horror classic move Re-Animator, and acting alongside Michael J. Fox in the spooky 90s sleeper hit The Frighteners. This one-man, one-act play has toured Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Austin, and Montreal but is for one night only in the Boston area.

Also, there’s a FREE event the night before the play. On Thursday the 30th, at 6 pm, there’s an unveiling ceremony for the bronze bust of Edgar Allan Poe being donated to the Boston Public Library in its most historic, museum-like wing. It was made possible by a Kickstarter campaign that received donations from celebrities like George R.R. Martin, Guillermo del Toro, Neil Gaiman, and others.

    Thanks,
    Steve
